Update of Sorts

This is what I want to be doing, but I think I'll update really quickly instead! :)

Well, to update and try to catch up, it's been busy. My parents are moving to the area around Aberdeen, Scotland and we are almost finished with that. Dad is already there along with half their stuff. The other half is in transit on a very slow boat. Mom is leaving Wednesday, February 4th. We have been finishing up all the last minute things including trying to sell her car. It hasn't happened so far, but we've reduced the price on it so hopefully someone will want it soon.

Jake has almost made it through his neurologist imposed probationary period. If he makes it to February 1st without any seizures, he can drive again. He has felt like his wings were clipped since that happened. The good news is after the initial one, he hasn't had anymore of them and is doing a lot better. Mom is feeling alright about leaving her 'baby' in my care now that we know things are going well.

Rynie is adorable. He loves preschool. He keeps going on 'dates' with my mom "Floolie" and they go get pizza. You know a kid has their Grandma wrapped around their finger when he suggests going to Red Robin for pizza and a chocolate shake and they've gone three times in the last two weeks! He's going to miss his Floolie.

The Pink Princess is very proud of herself. She is rolling over and spinning. She rolled over in the bathtub last week and got a face full of water. Then she laughed and rolled over again so she was back on her back. Today her accomplishment was learning to 'sneeze' her rice cereal in my face. She had honestly sneezed a few times and thought it was funny. Then she tried to do it on her own and sprayed me with cereal. She thought she was hilarous! So she kept doing it until she was completely done with lunch. Rynie and Floolie were cracking up at her.

Life is getting back to normal (I hope) for me. After we got all of Floolie's stuff done with her house, we kept trying to get my house back into order and everything else done. In the meantime, I had to get my wisdom teeth out. That seemed to do well, but we noticed there was a sharp, hard spot over one so I had to go get it looked at. The nurse tried to pull it out for about fifteen minutes on Tuesday and she couldn't get it so I had to go back in today and have the Dental Surgeon pull it. He got a lot of it out, but said that there is the possibility of more bone fragment working it's way out and if it does I need to go back and get it taken care of again. On the car ride home, I took the gauze out of my mouth and a nice chunk of bone came out! Yikes. My mouth feels better now so hopefully it'll heal up quickly. I want to get back to singing again but didn't feel up to it since all that was going on. While all this was happening, I also had a back case of allergies and the inversion around here compounded it into a chest cold of magnificent proportions.

My house is slowly getting put back into order and other than being sick and having a sore mouth, life is pretty good.

We have the house decorated for the Holidays, and are in the process of wrapping presents. Hubby is having to check before entering the sewing room since random presents can be laying about. Can't have peeking at presents now can we? ;) I can't wait until after Christmas since I know Hubby will love his present.

Rynie, pseudonym for the eldest, is adorable and 'cooking' with a saucepan. He has craisins and a spatula and is stirring them around calling it 'eggnog.' I love to watch his little imagination at work.

The Pink Princess, pseudonym for the youngest, is working hard at being cute and chubby. She is trying to roll over and can do it, but not consistently. She tries so hard and cannot do it, then she will be trying something else (not sure what) and end up rolling over.

I just got some beautiful green and ivory plaid silk in the mail today and am itching to make a skirt. Now to go and pull out some patterns and figure out what type. Whatever it is, I'm hoping for enough to make the Pink Princess a skirt too!

A start to things

I decided to start a craft/project/musings blog. So far there is nothing here, but I hope to remedy that. I am cleaning out my sewing room and reorganizing it so I'll need to get pictures of the before to compare with. Then I can start working on my projects again!
